So i only worked out for about ten minutes today, i had my ponytail too high and tight on my head and it gave me my headache back. ill make it up this week.

Woke up with a headache today. Took some ibuprofen and iced tea, and had a piece of toast. 

Lunch i had two pieces of frozen pizza, they were quite small, and i had iced tea. 

Last night for dinner i had a serving size of chicken cordon blue(?). It was really good, but i sadly had a peanut butter cookie. It was only my first day though, so i’m trying.

So I’ve decided to take this no tea thing a little differently. I’m not stopping altogether. I’m weening myself off of it. I have have previous experience not drinking it and it gave me terrible headaches. So hopefully at the end of this week i will fully off it!

So today, January 7, 2012, i walked on the treadmill for about 30 minutes. I obviously will try to go for longer in the future, but i’m not going to push myself. I have only eaten lunch today, which i know is bad but it was a big lunch.I did have iced tea today, which, sadly, will be my last glass. So i guess today has been an okay day.

I’m starting my weight loss journey today. I’ve been overweight for as long as i can remember. I’ve been teased for being big and it sucks. I’m a sophomore in high school and it’s time for a change. I’m going to work out 5-7 times a week for about 30 minutes to an hour. I’m going to cut soda, tea, fast food, sweets, desserts, and unhealthy foods out of my life. Sticking to water, 100 calorie snacks, portion sizes, and only eating when i’m truly hungry is how i will reach my goal. I have heard of a story of a girl losing 80 pounds in 5 months doing this exact thing. I have no expectations of losing that much so quickly but i will definitely strive for it.

So i’m Shelby. I’m 15 (almost 16), 5’5, and weighing 237 pounds.

My life changes TODAY.
